Security classes in Clarity have been designed to mirror Colleague definitions, and the structure is driven by these key concepts.
Since all other functionality in Colleague is based on account hierarchy and permissions, Clarity delivers a familiar management for defining classes within the tool.
In the accounts field, enter the PATTERNS for the accounts to which a user should be granted access. Any account matching the pattern entered will be included in the access given by this class.
Use the % sign to denote any pattern.
Examples:
Pattern | = | Outcome |
1- | All accounts starting with 1- will be included
1-4 | All accounts starting with 1-4 will be included
%52006 | All accounts starting with anything, which contain 52006 will be included
1-999999-99999 | The 1-999999-99999 will be included |
Note: System configuration settings are specific to each institution, and so each implementation will contain document within its instance of Clarity containing the details about how Clarity has been deployed.
